“ Love going here. We don't live in Ottawa, so going there is a treat. We try to make sure we don't waste our time at crappy places. That said, we always get shawarma to bring back home! ”

“ I came here for years back when it had a dated 70’s interior with vinyl discs on the wall. Usually the food is pretty good, use to be Excellent. So much so, I use to be proud to take friends, family, and dare say dates here… recently the quality of service diminished and the quality of food kind of hangs on a knife. Meaning, asked if I wanted everything put on a mixed shawarma. I answered yes and promptly paid. There must be a level of racial profiling due to the fact I am a Caucasian Canadian. There for everything doesn’t include peppers, radishes, and all the other ingredients. As is advertised in their pictures. I was given a dry Shawarma, with inadequate flavour to what I am use to from this excellent establishment. Nevertheless the pictures added to this will reflect the resolution to not being served what was offered and I was simply asked ‘is it not a mixed shawarma’ it was. However, last time the quality was also lesser than had it been in years. So, this is the result. A fair review. ”

“ Our recent gathering with old friends led us to Shawarma Station, where we indulged in an array of Middle Eastern delights. The feast consisted of BBQ chicken on charcoal, chicken shawarma, chicken, beef, and filet mignon skewers, accompanied by tabbouleh, fattoush, garlic potatoes, two varieties of rice, and an assortment of mini pies, including spinach pies, meat pies, and spinach and cheese pies. One notable aspect was the generous portions; however, our excitement waned slightly upon discovering an imbalance between the meats and the sides in all three family platters. While the potatoes and rice seemed to dominate, the meat portions left something to be desired, leaving us craving more of the flavorful skewers and shawarma. Nevertheless, the garlic sauce was an absolute delight, elevating every bite with its creamy texture and robust flavor. The hummus, unfortunately, fell short of expectations, lacking the depth of flavor we anticipated. Additionally, the tabbouleh, while tasty, was missing a crucial component - onions. It seems the chef may have overlooked this traditional ingredient, slightly diminishing the dish's authenticity. On the bright side, our experience was uplifted by the warm hospitality of the lady at the cash register. Her welcoming demeanor and constant smile added a pleasant touch to our visit. Furthermore, we appreciated the punctuality of the service; our order was ready for pickup right on time, ensuring a seamless dining experience. Adding to our delight were the delicious mini pies, including spinach pies, meat pies, and spinach and cheese pies. These savory treats provided a delightful contrast to the main dishes, showcasing the chef's skill in crafting flavorful pastries. Overall, Shawarma Station offers a mixed experience. While the portions are ample and the garlic sauce is a standout, there are areas for improvement, particularly in ensuring a more balanced distribution of meats and sides, and maintaining consistency in the flavors of traditional dishes like hummus and tabbouleh. Nevertheless, the friendly service, timely execution, and delectable mini pies enhance the overall dining experience. ”

“ Food here is great but the service is extremely lacking to the point where it makes the experience of going there not good. The young woman behind the cash register was very unfriendly and overcharged me. The guy serving up the food seemed impatient and irritable. The restaurant is extremely hot so it makes it almost impossible to eat there on a hot day. I enjoy the food but the staff is very unfriendly and unwelcoming. Not sure if it's racial profiling or what but I don't know if I'll come back. ”

“ Grabbed a mixed shawarma platter to try since we've heard some people say they prefer station over palace. The portion sizes are on par with palace but it's a bit cheaper. The meat was quite dry so it wasn't great even though there was a lot of meat. The other components like the hummus, pickles, toum, potatoes and salad were good. The rice was spiced but it wasn't my preferred seasoning. The restaurant gives old diner vibes and was very hot inside when I went and the ventilation seemed to be off. Service is alright. You order on the left side of the serving area, pay, then find your own seat. ”

“ I really liked the decorations and how their restaurant looks from the inside. It feels like a diner. The servers were alright and did their job well. Ordered a small beef shawarma and a mixed chicken and beef shawarma plate The portions were really good like lasted me 3 days of eating it. I was impressed by the peppers like when u bite in it the spice actually exists unlike other Shawarma places. I just didn't like how the naans were kinda rolled up idk it felt alright. But the platter was delicious and would def recommend. The shawarma 3ss pretty good too, not the best I have ever tried but still good. ”
